BUILDING BETTER PUBLIC HEALTH INFRASTRUCTURE
Insendi, a Study Group Company, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Linfield University, a forward-thinking institution based in Oregon, United States, to deliver pedagogically focused online learning programs supporting the university’s vision for positive change in the world.
The first course launched under the partnership will be a Trauma-Informed Community Development (TICD) program, launching in Autumn 2022 and delivered via the insendi learning platform. Informed by the impact of community trauma on residents’ lives, a significant public health issue, the program will help participants develop the skills to build greater social cohesion and foster community resiliency in deprived neighbourhoods.
Developed in partnership with the Neighbourhood Resilience Project (NRP), the program will support participants from four main groups - NGOs, community activists, government employees, and community residents.
Jennifer R. Madden, Ph.D. Dean, School of Business, Professor of Management, commented: “The need to address this important topic and skills motivated us to partner with NRP and insendi and we anticipate its global and local appeal”.
Steve Hill, Chief Partnership Officer, Study Group, adds: “We are thrilled to begin this unique partnership with Linfield University, contributing towards the university’s mission to challenge learners in an unconventional way and using education for positive social impact.”
