Insendi to support delivery of Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government leadership programmes

Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government building

Online education experts insendi – part of leading global education providers Study Group – will work with the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford to support delivery of  their In-country Public Leaders Programme online.

The collaboration is aimed at building a version of the Blavatnik School’s existing In-country Public Leaders Programme for delivery at larger scale in a single country using the Insendi award-winning platform. The seven-week programme is available in-country to institutions who are training large cohorts of talented, mid-career public servants. It begins online and culminates in a one-week residential programme in their own country – the first country of focus is Nigeria.

Director of insendi Dr David Lefevre said,

“We are really delighted to be working with the superb team at The Blavatnik School of Government who have such an outstanding record for leadership education, including 60 heads of state and government from around the world. The School is genuinely Global in its thinking and approach and by working with our specialist team, the Public Leaders Programme Team will make their expertise available to a wider range of leaders for whom in-person study cannot be made to fit around their many commitments.”

The partnership was also welcomed by Christopher Stone - Professor of Practice of Public Integrity who added,

“Leaders in the public sector today are demanding higher quality professional development, and more of it than ever before. As we at the Blavatnik School of Government expand our executive programmes to meet this demand, we are excited to be working with Insendi to combine their expertise in on-line education with our flagship programme for top officials and rising public leaders. Our partnership with Insendi will allow us to deliver the highest quality professional training to hundreds of officials in their own countries, improving the quality of government and public policymaking worldwide.”

A department of Oxford University (currently ranked number one in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings), the Blavatnik School of Government exists to support and improve public policy around the world. The School teaches current and future public leaders through innovative programmes, conducts independent research into pressing issues facing policy makers around the world, and convenes leaders and experts to foster better public policy.
