Insendi shortlisted for QS Reimagine Education Awards 2020
Each year, QS brings together an extended panel of international judges for the Reimagine Education Awards to reward innovative approaches to education that enhance student learning outcomes and employability. This year, insendi has been shortlisted for the ICT Tools for Learning and Teaching Award. The category honours the most innovative Information Technology tool to enhance and improve the experience of both educators and learners.
The insendi platform is the result of 15 years of research and development at the Imperial College Business School Edtech Lab, a leading centre of Edtech Innovation. From the outset, insendi has sought to transform the learning experience and enable the creation of online courses that students love to learn and teachers love to teach.
Insendi’s founder and Director of the Edtech Lab at Imperial College Business School, David Lefevre, said of the shortlisting: "Our goal is to produce high quality online learning, equivalent in impact to the best campus-based programmes. It has been heartening to see an increasing number of university partners embrace our approach over the past two years and we are flattered to be nominated for this award.
With insendi, faculty are empowered to deliver high-touch, engaging online courses through technology and the learner receives the highest quality experience throughout their learning journey. Online and blended courses delivered through the insendi platform encompass the pedagogic advantages of the digital medium via the creation of innovative and interactive activities.
Insendi currently works with 15 leading international universities and business schools across Asia, Europe, North America and Australia. The insendi platform is truly global and continues to add partners, new courses and new activities onto its proprietary platform.
This year’s QS Reimagine Education Awards have also emphasised the versatility of the insendi platform, being affiliated with two additional shortlistings. Insendi acts as the learning platform utilised by the FOME Alliance; an alliance of world-leading business schools who share a vision that online learning should have the same transformational impact as the very best face-to-face courses. The FOME Alliance has been shortlisted for the E-Learning Award, granted to a project that uses electronic learning tools in an innovative way.
Furthermore, the insendi platform supports the Academic English Skills (AES) online qualification developed by Study Group. This programme is designed to prepare international students for a successful, rewarding higher education experience delivered fully online, and has also been shortlisted for the E-Learning Award for the best electronic learning project globally.
The insendi team now looks forward to presenting at the QS Reimagine Education Conference in December and showcasing the innovative learning platform to new audiences, illustrating that online education can and should be a pedagogically-rich, human-centred learning experience.
